How To Hang Kitchen Cabinets

Remodeling your kitchen begins with your kitchen cabinets. Great kitchen cabinets can transfer the look of your kitchen. However, it is often a costly project to update your kitchen with new cabinets. One of the biggest costs involved with new kitchen cabinets is the installation. For those out there who are handy, you might consider hanging the cabinets yourself and eliminating the installation costs. Here are some guidelines to hanging your very own kitchen cabinets.

1.Make sure the measure and mark where you are placing your cabinets before you hang them. This will make the process easier.

2.Start by hanging the upper cabinets first.

3.Connect the upper cabinets together on the floor first so you know they are straight.

4.Hang strips of wood using studs in the wall.

5.Place the upper cabinets on the wood strips using screws.

6.Remove the lower baseboards where you are going to place the lower cabinets. Make sure that you mark the location.

7.Place the base corner unit of cabinets first and then work outward from there.

8.Install the remaining doors and drawers and finish by installing kick plates and baseboards.

The most important thing to remember is to take your time and measure. Installing cabinets for your kitchen is not as complicated as it sounds, however you need to be patient and detail oriented.
